Aadhi Vishal’s paintings embody and celebrate the important role of a woman in society. He depicts the contemporary woman form who transcends race and religion. The different fused hybrid forms derived from impressions of the subconscious about the past and future surround protect and revere her. Creation has started from her. All of nature is around this woman form where rich, vibrant colours of Goa play intuitively to produce a tapestry in rhythmic harmony which reflects varying moods .He attempts to show cross cultural connections with local symbolism. These compositional elements appear in the surreal world created within the canvas which he hopes will leave memories in the canvas of the mind to bring social change like environmental preservation, respect to women and all beings. The icon becomes central where she represents the universe and mother earth, where she could disguise herself as either a mythical goddess or a contemporary woman as he attempts to dissolve the borders between the two.

Aadhi Vishal is a freelance visual artist with his studio based in Goa.He has had several solo and group shows in India and abroad and art auctions.He has had the honour of exhibiting his works along with great masters like M.F.Husain and Raza.He had won the State art award in 2001.His works are in several prestigious private collections and museum collections all over the world.His works can be called phantasmogoric.Symbols,hybrid forms and stylised forms add curious twists to the narrated story transforming each and every work into a masterpiece.

The centralised iconic image of a beautiful woman in Aadhi’s works metaphorically stands in for the creative inspiration.She is a divine presence who masquerades as several characters.Aadhi looks at the Goan society and the spectacular scenes he sees around him find their critical representations in the various guises of this iconic young woman in his works.
