How can I assess the condition of an artwork before purchasing it?

Buying art online requires confidence in the artwork’s appearance, condition and authenticity. At Gallery 3C, we want collectors to have the information they need to make an informed decision before purchasing.

We offer the following options to help you assess an artwork before placing your order.

For collectors in Mumbai

• View the artwork in person -  Arrange a visit to view the artwork at our Mumbai premises by appointment.
• View the artwork at your location - Depending on your location within Mumbai and the nature of the artwork, we may be able to arrange a viewing at your premises, subject to confirmation.

For collectors outside Mumbai and international buyers

• High-resolution photographs -  On request, we can provide freshly taken, high-resolution images of the front and back of the artwork, photographed in natural light where possible.
• Artwork video -  We can share a high-resolution video to give you a better understanding of the artwork’s appearance and details.

For Indian Buyers — GST-Inclusive Pricing

All the prices quoted on this website are in Indian National Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) or any other additional taxes that may be applicable.

For International Buyers — GST-Exclusive Pricing

The prices displayed on our website are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India.

For eligible international orders, the applicable Indian GST component will be excluded from the artwork price quoted to you. Please contact Gallery 3C with the artwork you are interested in, along with your destination country, and we will provide a revised quotation reflecting the applicable tax treatment.

Please note that any import duties, taxes or other charges levied by the destination country are generally the responsibility of the buyer.

Authenticity and provenance information

Where available, we can provide the relevant certificate of authenticity and provenance information. Certificates for many of the artworks listed on our website are issued by the respective artists.

Condition report

If an artwork has any known damage, signs of ageing or restoration, we can provide a condition report describing its condition, where applicable.

We encourage you to contact us before purchasing if you would like additional photographs, a video, condition details or documentation for a particular artwork. Our team will be happy to assist you in understanding the work as clearly as possible before you make your decision.
